德国萨尔大学（Saarland University）博士招聘

PhD study in Germany for M.Sc. in Electronics or Computer Science

We are a microelectronics group active in the field of display application. We develop new image processing algorithms and processors for achieving advantages for LCDs and AMOLEDs. The advantages are mainly lower power consumption, higher image quality and lower production cost. Specific researches may include and does not limit to one of the following fields:

-Local Dimming of LCDs

-Local Contrast Enhancement

-Color Processing for Daylight Viewablity

-Color Processing for RGBW Displays

-Digital Drive of AMOLED Displays

The algorithms will be implemented on FPGA (Xilinx, Altera), GPU or ASICs. The new technologies will be applied for TVs, notebook/tablets, smart phones and automotive displays.

For research in these fields we are looking for ph.D. candidates. The applicant should have a Master of Science degree in electronic engineering or computer science. Applicants with knowledge in one of the following fields will be preferred:

- Digital (HDL) design
- Display Electronics
- Image Processing

We will support the application with CSC (China Scholarship Council) for the phD study and provide additional financial support.
