Software development positions open to 2017 graduates in NXP Shanghai
Firmware Development Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Collect and manage chip feature requirements together with other functional teams.
- Define and implement the firmware modules from system architecture and functional specification.
- Optimize the firmware modules for limited resource usage, low power consumption, and security constrains.
- Implement and extend test suites to ensure a quality delivery of the full-fledged firmware.
- Develop creative ideas and software countermeasures for security threats and attacks.
- Drive and accompany certification procedures including generation of related documents.
- Support both internal stakeholders and external customers at expert level.
- Create, review and update the firmware design and implementation documents.
- Work in multi-site and multi-cultural environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor/Master degree in electrical/electronic engineering, computer science, information technology or relevant disciplines.
- Experience in embedded software development with 8/16/32-bit MCU architectures (e.g. 8051, ARM-Cortex).
- Excellent programming skills in C and assembly languages. Strong debugging capabilities.
- Sound experience in software development lifecycle and configuration management tools.
- Proficiency with verification methodologies and automated scripts in lab environments.
- Proficiency with RTOS architecture and underlying hardware peripheral blocks.
- Domain knowledge in smart card and its standards (e.g. ISO7816/ISO14443/ISO18092).
- Knowledge of crypto algorithms and attacking methods would be an added advantage.
- Enthusiastic team player, fast learning and ability to deliver under pressure.
- Clear dedication to project targets & structured way of working.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Fresh graduates are also welcome.
Toolchain Development Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for test development including hardware and software.
- Responsible for defining test specification and characterization plan.
- Develop applicable test methods which focus on quality and cost.
- Develop and optimize test programs and guarantee test stability.
- Create analysis programs and conduct measurements for failure analysis to increase yield.
- Reduce test time to improve cost of goods sold.
- Responsible for data analysis and test issues solving.
- Create/maintain documentation.
- Support production ramp-up and release to mass production.
Requirements:
- Master/Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or similar.
- Very good programming skill on C, C++, Script with Perl etc.
- Proven professional experience in the field on V93K (PS1600) test program development. Hands-on experience on test development and relevant test engineering activities.
- Have good knowledge on test development for production, characterization, qualification.
- Have good knowledge from new product development to mass production release.
- Very good knowledge of supplemental software (Office Software, Yield Retrieval Software).
- Very good skills on Microsoft Windows (XP and newer) and Linux (Red Hat), Test System OS (Smartest 7.3(V93K).
- Team Player (Engaged, flexible and enthusiastic).

- Communicative (spread knowledge, cooperative).
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Hardware System Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Support i.MX based MPU board design, validation, and product launch and customer activity.
- Develop reference solutions for industrial and consumer market with Freescale MCU product.
- Investigate and analyze industrial market applications and competitors solutions.
- Document design and related applications technical training.
- Cooperate with sales/marketer/field application engineer and distributor.
- Work with customers to develop and analyze system and performance requirements.
- Cooperate with designer, system engineer and product marketer engineer for new product introduction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or master degree, majoring in electrical engineering, automation, electronic engineering, telecommunication, computer science or related disciplines.
- Strong board knowledge and experience in audio & video product applications for consumer electronics, automotive and industrial.
- Familiar with high speed interface: DDR3/4, EMMC, QSPI, PCIE, USB, SATA, HDMI, MHL, LCD, WiFi, BT, Serdes, Audio codec, etc.
- Good knowledge on electronic components such as resistor, capacitor, inductor and ferrite bead, etc.
- Cadence Orcad and Allegro software is a must.
- Signal/power integrity and simulation knowledge is preferred.
- EMC knowledge and related working experience is preferred.
- Experience in layout is a plus.
- Familiar with automotive car infotainment is a plus.
- Strong initiative and learning willingness.
- Excellent communications and presentation skills
- Excellent English ability in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
MPU System Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Technical support for Asia customers on i.MX Linux BSP drivers, Android/Yocto platform.
- Develop i.MX reference designs and create demo applications for Asia Market.
- Provide in-depth technical training to i.MX customers.
- Create and review new product documentation such as Application notes, user guide etc.
- Be reactive to the demands of customers and salesand feedback requirements to engineering team.
- Be responsible for system user case performance tuning and optimization.
- Be responsible for the technical feasibility analysis for new applications.
- Work with the partners to create i.MX system applications.
- Contribute to i.MX community and Linux/Android communities.
Requirements:
- Minimum Master’s degree in computer science, electronic engineering or equivalent.
- Strong programming skills on C and assembly language.
- Hands-On experiences with Linux/Android BSP on ARM SoC is required.
- Strong capability for trouble shooting.
- A good understanding of the interaction between software and hardware.
- Good understanding for system design.
- Experience with GIT is desired.
