Two postdoc and/or PhD positions in nanosatellite design and fabrication are available at the Aero-space Engineering group, the department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The start date will be as soon as possible. Interviews are to be carried out before mid December and closing dates for application will be Sunday 11 December 2016.

The candidates will work with the supervisor professor to fabricate the subsystems of a nanosatellite, including but not limit to the onboard computer, communication link, inertial motion and star and solar sensors, control units, etc., and prepare the necessary testing and fabrication platform. The successful candidate is not expected to have already obtained experience in nanosatellite design, but should with hands-on experience (for postdoc position) in electronic and/or mechanical system design, program-ming, simulation and fabrication, and a high level of knowledge should be demonstrable in electronics, automatic control, signal processing or other relevant field of work.
