PhD study in Germany for M.Sc. in electronics,
computer science or mathematics

We are a microelectronics group active in the field of display application. We
develop new image processing algorithms and processors to achieve advantages at
various display types. The displays are AMOLED, LCD, E-Papers etc. The
advantages are mainly lower power consumption, higher image quality and lower
production cost. The algorithms will be implemented on FPGA (Xilinx, Altera),
GPU or ASICs. The new technologies will be applied for TVs, notebook/tablets,
smart phones and automotive displays.

For research in this area we are looking
for ph.D. candidates. The applicant should have a Master of Science degree in
electronic engineering, computer science or mathematics. Applicants with
knowledge in one of the following fields will be preferred:

- image processing
- Verilog/VHDL design
- display electronics
- computer graphics
- discrete mathematics/optimization

we support the application with CSC (China Scholarship Council) for the phD
study and will provide additional financial support.
